Jim Kinney Jeweler (formerly Lotus Tree Designs) opened for business at 101 West Maumee Street on the SW corner of the Public Circle in Angola on February 6, 2006. Jim Kinney began his career 36 years ago in the Detroit area. He has been designing, repairing and manufacturing fine jewelry ever since.
His passion for jewelry and customer service allows his to offer the Angola area some very unique services. Jim is the area’s only Master Graduate Gemologist, a joint title program with the Gemological Institute of America and the Independent Jewelry Organization. He offers clients appraisal services, usually on an appointment basis.
Custom designs and restyling of existing jewelry items are his forte. Using platinum, palladium, silver and different colors of gold and casting, fusing or hand fabricating, he creates unusual pieces. Then the surface treatments are added for distinct contrast, always creating a one of a kind piece. |
